Tal Rabin on multi-party computationGuest: Tal Rabin (Prof, UPenn + Head of Research at Algorand Foundation)

You may have heard of Multi-Party Computation. You may have seen the song “I will survive” performed by the “Women in Theory” group featuring Women CS Faculty. If not, that’s okay!

In today’s episode, we talk to one of the pioneers of Multi-Party Computation, and the founder of the Women in Theory Group/Workshop, Tal Rabin. She was also ranked as #4 Top Woman in Tech, by Business Insider and true to the theme of this podcast, she is an immigrant from Israel sharing her journey throughout life, education, and career.

Tal Rabin’s father Michael O. Rabin was a Turing Award Winner. We also talk in this episode about instances when people compare her father to Tal (mind you, she’s a stalwart Computer Scientist in her own field!). And a lot more in this episode!

This is the 2nd of 4 episodes focused on Israel.
