LOS ALAMITOS, Calif., 30 November 2023 – The IEEE Computer Society (IEEE CS) Board of Governors has confirmed the incoming editors in chief (EICs) for five IEEE CS publications. Please join us in congratulating the following distinguished scientists and engineers whose terms will begin on 1 January 2024.
Weisong Shi, of the University of Delaware (USA), is the incoming EIC of IEEE Internet Computing, a bi-monthly publication that focuses on all aspects related to Internet computing. The magazine invites researchers and practitioners to submit articles describing their efforts and experiences with developments and key trends in Internet technologies and applications.
Hsien-Hsin Sean Lee, from Intel Corporation (USA), is the incoming EIC of IEEE Micro, a bimonthly publication which publishes research related to the design, performance, or application of microprocessors and microcomputers. The magazine reaches an international audience of microcomputer and microprocessor designers, system integrators, and users.
Sigrid Eldh, of Ericsson AB (Sweden), is the new EIC of IEEE Software, a bi-monthly magazine delivering reliable, useful, leading-edge software development information to keep engineers and managers abreast of rapid technology change. Peer-reviewed articles and columns by seasoned practitioners illuminate all aspects of the software engineering industry, including process improvement, project management, development tools, software maintenance, applications, testing, usability, and many others.
Avinash Karanth, from Ohio University (USA), is the new EIC of IEEE Transactions on Computers, which is a monthly publication with a wide distribution to researchers, developers, technical managers, and educators. With a broad readership, its articles cover all aspects of computing, including computer architectures, operating systems, software systems, real-time and embedded systems, design, performance, reliability, security, and more.
Chris Clifton, of Purdue University (USA) is the inaugural EIC of the new IEEE Transactions on Privacy, a fully open access publication launching in 2024 that will cover the theoretical, methodological, engineering, and applications aspects of privacy and data protection, including specification, design, implementation, testing, and validation.
